The Miscellaneous Art page has been resurrected! Huzzah! Now I can expect my file manager to get clogged up again with crappy pictures that don't really belong anywhere else! Weehee!
Please note that this is mostly all Minami-related art; all other art relating to the Gissettison Group such as illustrations of characters from Cedar's Journey etc will be on other pages.

You know, I hold this picture (drawn by a friend) very near and dear to my heart. Why? Because - believe it or not - this is my very first visual introduction to the phenomenon of Pokémon. To explain the creatures, my friend drew Charmander and Ditto from memory one time he was at our house and we were around the computer. I don't even want to know how old it is. I don't remember when I first discovered Pokémon... it was too long ago. |

The original, original Splash image which was never actually used. ("Pokemon Minami The Place You'll Never Wanna Leave ENTER PKM MINAMI") Done on the ancient Claris Works program on the prehistoric Mac LC575. As it's that old, the catchphrase does sort of reflect my naivety about how long people are going to want to stick around the site in any random encounter with it. But it's funny, at least. |

The original Splash image. A less-egotistical remake of the original, original Splash image. |

Done for Minami's move from a free web account to a paid one without any annoying popups. The basic 'story' to this Splash was that the three original starters were hitch-hiking to the new location of the site; Gramistle killing time by having a snooze, Inferbern rather annoyed at being spurned by many cars already, and Splascade a little embarassed having to hitch-hike at all! |

Uploaded simply for the lulz. One of our original fake Pokémon from the times of the Gissettison Group was this horrible looking Articuno-esque legendary bird. Called Gushaquatro, it was intended to be the fourth bird (this was before Lugia and Ho-oh), and as such was a Water type. Yes. I was miffed they didn't have a water type legendary bird. Lugia's and Suicune's arrival onto the scene smoothed my metaphorical ruffled feathers somewhat. |

One picture I had forgotten even existed, which is strange, because it's one of my better ones from the Claris Works days of working without layers. It's also extremely graphic; relating to one scene in my old spinoff fanfiction centred around Aspen and her Pokémon. This is NiteShadow (Lance's Dragonite) and an unnamed Houndoom. The prose of the battle itself is quite surprisingly canon if related to the Gold and Silver Elite Four, as the Houndoom's owner was described as being blonde (this is before I knew she was actually a natural blue!). So the random trainer in my mind actually became the last of the GS Elite Four, the Dark type using female Trainer (I can't remember the name), and the scene suddenly related to her taking on Lance in an attempt to become the Champion. Funny how things work out like that. |

The original picture of Niteshadow before I added the Houndoom in. Poor Nite is swaying on his feet; burned and bitten to the extent that Houndoom has managed to open a wound on his head all the way to his skull, Crunch Attack his arm and rip an entire section of wing off. But hey, he's that badass that he still wins the battle. |

Similarly uploaded for the lulz. I love how there's not only one but two random volcanoes and that Minami is shaped like a rectangle for the plain and simple fact that that was how the window in the drawing program was shaped. Also, the routes and the cities were planned like a game with a Pokémon-like scenario would be; with the main character going north, then deviating up the right hand side, circling round, then circling the other way round and then finally coming home before exploring the last few locations previously inaccessible to them. |

Australia... upside down! Eureka! Minami! </sarcasm> |

Ew. I have no idea why there are legendaries from other regions in the background, nor do I know why on earth Aspen is wearing a pink top of all things. Nor why she has a 'FOX' cap on - apart from the fact I own one myself. |

A request from a dA user gave me this Aspen fanart. |

Very, very old stuff, taking inspiration from my Gold version and spriting characters and Pokémon battles. Top left and right is a battle between Gramistle and Inferbern. Middle left is Sycloon vs. Frigicaust. The others are designs of a random city with the player character and their rival having a chat. |

Back when I had time to experiment, I was planning on doing an animation of some sort featuring the Guardian. This was art for it. |

Used for a Splash image, as I remember. |

This is so random. I eventually made it into a digital image but I hated it. I prefer this one far more. For some reason. |

The Guardian sleeps on the One Tree. Awww! More art for the animation I had been planning to do but which never happened. |

More Splashes. |
| I used to update using icons. But I eventually stopped, because the only reason people do that is to differentiate between staff members - and Minami only has one staff member. | |
| Done for 06.06.06. I have no life. | |

Just as humans are annoyed at each other, so are their Pokémon. This is Aspen and Laurel (a previously unmentioned character) getting pretty hot under the collar. Will it end in battle? Oh, yeah. On that note, you may notice the eyes and the rude finger gesture has been scribbled on - that's thanks to my sister who got rather annoyed that my characters were going without eyes for a long time. I also used this version because it's the only one with coloured lineart - the other version uses black. |

Planning for our own versions of Pokéballs. 'nuff said. |

Planning for our own versions of Badges (We renamed them Tokens). 'nuff said, I think. |

More fanart, this time from my sister. Pictured is 'Philippa', a Grass Elemental from Johto. Created by Aaria. |
