Wednesday gives us Echidney's counterpart: Harboa! Based around a king cobra + red bellied black snake + the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Yeah, I went there. No, I have no shame.

Thursday's (well, technically Friday's, since I didn't have time to do a sketch yesterday) sketch for MiPo is another malicious Spirit Element, previously known as Shadox now called Malishka. Malishka is even more cruel and vengeful than Maniakal, who pales into mischevious and fun-loving in comparison. Although Malishka sorta has justification in being so.

Voodon is another old one (alongside Shadox now known as Malishka); it has been in the Minami Pokémon folder since forever. Its design has not changed much at all, funnily enough. In battle, Voodon uses the pins in its arms to inflict pain on its opponent using voodoo magic.

Beta Name of Seedlee; this may be changed, as well as its design. A few details may change here and there when I have more of a concrete idea of what I want Seedlee to encapsulate.

Some concept art for Crotchetty. I want to keep the name because it fits really well; I'm just not sure about how complex I want to make this one. I want it to be somewhat like the Unown where they appear on walls and the like.

This one is somewhat spoilerish. But what the hey. This is some concept planning for my little legendary. I don't have a name for it yet. It used to be called Biplitee but I don't want to keep that. Thanks again to *caat for providing The Guardian's newest design edit.

Yeah. This design idea still very new and as such very rough, so he may go through a few changes in the future. This one (no name yet) is inspired by drop bears, so I'm planning to have this species listed as very rare like its real life counterpart.

The first design of a 'mon based off a Tasmanian Devil. I'd already done the tigers so thought to do the devils too. Design may (and probably will) change in future.

Another design idea for Trinyte; my co-creator's Dark legendary. Trinyte shows up a bit (with a slightly different design again) in my unfinished comic Mysterious Island.

The first attempt at a redesign for the 'mon previously known as Locitor.

Another one of Aaria's designs. I don't have the original artwork at hand so I just went with the concept and came up with this. I know its ears look like a Plusle's. I didn't realise until uploading, hehe. That will change for the final polished artwork. Anyway, meet Kangfoo; a cousin species to the Wallaburn family. Both male and female Kangfoo have a pouch.

Concept sketches from a few of my art books. Most of MiPoDraMo's 'mons have been taken from various sketchbooks where they exist in very unpolished format. (Others are those I'm not happy with and want to redo, such as Locitor etc). Here's one which could turn into a Minami 'mon; a creature with its arms as ears. It could be either bipedal or quadupedal - or both, like Pikachu. I haven't figured that out yet.

Amalgamating sketches. I've got a dragon/dinosaur's head with a bit underbite. Perhaps the start of Locitor's new evo design? Then I've also got the starters of an ibis Pokémon, a lyrebird Pokémon and then a slight redesign of a very old 'mon indeed (certainly older than Spinda, that's for sure!). In the beginning of our fakemon creating in the Gissetti Group it was called Pikapsy (I think...) and was a Psychic version of Pikachu (go figure). Now it's a psychic koala 'mon. It's a close cousin of the drop bear 'mon up on Tuesday the 8th's piccie.

More sketches. In black is a potential little legendary that goes in a trio with two others that are being designed by Aaria. They're based on the body, mind and soul idea as I remember. Then in blue is a three-evolution idea which is based around love hearts and also a very old idea for a species that I had that wasn't Pokécentric (my first novel attempt). They'll probably be Fauna with a Passive subtype. I'm thinking they can levitate and fly with those ear/wings.

A proposed slight redesign for Solsan, the Light equivalent to Trinyte.

Here's a redesign of Bujarbi; a Light/Flora brush-tail possum with a tail lantern.

A maybe-evolution for Crochetty; Trebase, incorporating a treble, alto and bass clef into a sort of rabbity thing.

A potential design for my very, very old grass Eeveelution: Bloomeon. This one has been around way before Leafeon and Glaceon. Now that Leafeon exists, Bloomeon will be retconned into a divergent evolution of wild Eevee that were in Minami when it split apart from Kanto and Johto.

Just a quick concept - I have ideas on how I want this design to be different already - on a play on words between a 'kiwi' flightless bird and a 'kiwi fruit' (which is also known as a Chinese Gooseberry I believe) which share a similar looking colour and shape. Yeah, I know this joke has been told already, but not in the Pokémon field.

I want a wombat Pokémon in there somewhere. The design will change dramatically in future.
