The GG Plan no. 1

"During the later years of our club when Minami was a far greater influence on my Pokémon creativity, we decided to push the boundaries of our characters, ideas, stories and fakers a little more. We both agreed we wanted to take the phenomenon that was Pokémon into our own hands, hold it and study it, rip out a few parts which looked ugly and maybe even add a few missing pieces - to make it our own; to rebel against the norm, in a sense. We discussed this at length (some of the details of which are recorded for posterity in the GG Plans). And ended up with a whole new Element list, a major switch in Cedar's character, edited fakers, more plot details and a few more major changes in our thinking."

(taken from 'About The GG')

And so recorded here (with a few slight edits, but you will probably note all the typos are kept) for any curious souls is what we came up with... for the record, I actually have no idea just how old this is - but can tell you it is extremely dated. It's possibly at least three years old, if not more. The black font is what Aaria came up with before we met up one day, and the dark green is all the stuff added once we got chatting.

Gissettison Plan

Aaria's Understanding: Gissettison Group's Collaberation

  1. Cedar
  2. Aspen > Decision
  3. The actual Pokémon
  4. The whole Minami land & all the other lands?!
  5. Merchandising/Music etc.
  6. Creating it/Getting it running.
  7. Boundaries... & Changes.

Issue 1: Cedar or Aspen?

We need to decide what's happening with which storyline we're going to follow.

This is of course a very decisive issue/choice, so it is definitely worth arguing over. I myself believe we should go with the Cedar storyline all up and use Aspen in a possible movie, because I believe that there is more of an idea of where we're going and there is always the matter that I haven't been filled in enough about Aspen and what we want to do with it. Also I believe that it's way to difficult to work on 2 storylines at the same time & I also have a feeling that it would destroy something I find something much more important. (Our togetherness and friendship.)

Obviously this is a biased view but it's my view, and it should be considered.

We have decided on Cedar for our main storyline character. Aspen has been decided for a movie character and someone we can add as a Minami Resident. We can rendezvous on the train every Friday and discuss Cedar and ep's.

Issue 2: The Pokémon themselves
VERY IMPORTANT

He. he. he. This is the uh, most difficult thing to conjure and I am personally in absolute despise of half of the Pokémon that I've drawn so I'm gonna more than likely re-do them. We, (in my opinion) need to sit down together and re-configure the Pokémon, & draw the Pokédex.

Just an idea:

I think that we should maybe evolve/change the old Pokédex's because over time things evolve and change. It's a bit like the Porygon to Porygon2 equation.
For ex. Poliwag (picture of a normal Poliwag)

Evolution over time (picture of an evolved Poliwag)

I don't know. Something along those lines. Maybe they could (almost all) die out & we could make up a completely new thing. I dunno, but it's a thought.

  • Little changes maybe/large changes
  • The Apocalypse - some die out, more are created, changed etc.
  • SCRAP SOME: Voltorb, Grimer
  • Scrap "Gotta Catch 'em All!"
  • Contests: Skill, Beauty, Smart etc.
  • Add: new images, individual looks to some species e.g. Light Charmander, dark coloured stripes, etc.
  • Scientists and Professors play larger role in research.
  • Scrap Pokédex. Add pocket books or a computer encyclopaedia.
  • Different basic traits. Add personalities.
  • Smart Trainers, different attitudes; more equality between Pokémon and trainers.

Issue 3: The Geographical issues

These aren't enough volcanoes!!! Random true thing

Continental drift & the whole evolution of the land are going to be a humungous issue with this.

Option A. - Completely ignore any geographical change and get on with it.
Option B. – Incorporate it and maybe improve things a bit. It'll be hard work though.

Habitats need to be looked into & also the whole where you can find the Pokémon is a really big issue.

  • Scrap illogical locations for example: Charmander in a forest, Pidgey over the oceans, etc.
  • Add more elemental geographic locations e.g. volcanoes (fire), forest (flora), oceans (water), power plants (electric), buildings (metal), dirt paths (earth), sky (air), arctic (ice), etc.

Issue 4: Merchandising/Music etc

I have no idea what we're going to do about this so we'll need to discuss it.

  • Toys
    • Pokémon sets with different balls
    • Plush toys - not DEFORMED & UGLY!!!
    • Play Pokédex's
    • GOOD figurines
    • Cards but extremely different - 'Stats cards'
  • Music
    • CD's
    • Theme songs
    • Other songs about Pokémon
    • Scrap Pok´dex raps - if doing humorous song rather than raps then that's ok.
    • All styles we can find (barring Guy Sebastian!)
    • Karaoke for every track
    • Different style of folding pamphlet
    • Correct lyrics on sheet
    • No auto tune!
    • Understandable lyrics
  • Clothing
    • Subtlety please!

Issue 5: Getting it up and running

All that hard work but what for? We'll need to find a way to actually get it running. We'll need to find someone/people to help/do it for us with that.

  • Website
    • MSN group
    • Freewebs
    • Hostultra
  • Email officials and ask:
    • GameFreak
    • Pokémon.com

Issue 6: Boundaries & Changes

Do we change rules do we worry about certain things do we push the boundaries to make it that extra bit better etc. That will need discussing and working out.

  • Push boundaries as much as possible
  • Speech
    • Trainers - English and other languages and scripts, plus different accents; but no clichéd images!
    • Pokémon - only certain ones say their names, some other noises rather than names. Some no speech; they use other ways to communicate.
  • Pokémon; not dumb, not inferior.
  • Pokémon; they die, even though it's sad.
