So this would have to be something like my very first attempt at Pokémon fiction. And it certainly shows - whilst writing this I still thought the Pokémon with the higher level always moved first in battle, regardless of speed. Needless to say, then, it consisted of nothing more than a Mary Sue-style story written with horrible prose and missing quotation marks all over the place. But, no shame! I recovered this only a few weeks ago and I figure it's classic enough to put down in the GG menu. Please note! Only bother reading this if you're a masochistic fanfiction reader. I don't imagine you'll get any satisfaction from it otherwise. It's bad.
Readers with sharp eyes will note Wisprout's first ever name - Kimistle. This edition of 'Cedar's Journey' was written around the time Minami wasn't as unknown and far away as it is written now. There was also some debate about which region Cedar was starting off in - originally it had actually been Minami, but was later changed to Pallet Town; just for old-times sake, I guess. I'm not sure about this, but I think in other editions she was hoping for a Bulbasaur or Chikorita, as well.
EDIT: I found the rewritten edition. Why do I get the feeling I'm aping Dragonfree of The Cave of Dragonflies slightly now with this insistent uploading of old material and updates to it? At least she puts new stuff on as well. *sigh* Although the rewrite does contain most of the fixes to mistakes I was wincing at during uploading the first terrible version. And for those who want to know just where Cedar started out before her whole character and story was redone; this is where you should be looking.
